Structural Principle:
1. A plate heat exchanger is a new type of high-efficiency heat exchanger that uses numerous corrugated metal plates as its heat-transfer elements. It is suspended by upper crossbeams, positioned by lower guide rods, and secured with clamping bolts; adjacent plates are sealed against each other by gaskets.
2. After the plates are assembled, different hot and cold fluids flow through the corrugated channels on both sides of each plate. Thanks to the specially designed flow paths, strong turbulence is generated, enhancing heat transfer. Moreover, the presence of turbulence helps prevent fouling on the plate surfaces.
3. The corrugated crests of adjacent plates come into contact with one another, forming a mesh-like support structure that significantly enhances the structural strength of the plates, enabling them to withstand substantial pressure, ensuring the safety of the heat exchanger, and extending the service life of the equipment.

Features and Advantages
Advanced panel design
Ametech incorporates advanced technologies and design principles, placing user reliability and optimal operational performance at the core, thereby maximizing heat exchange efficiency and minimizing energy losses.
● Multi‑path flow channels are combined based on varying flow velocities and heat transfer rates.
● Combination of wide and narrow—depending on the medium’s properties and varying operating conditions.
● Combining depth and shallowness—depending on the medium’s properties and operating conditions.
● Hybrid design—combining flexible and rigid plates to both enhance heat transfer efficiency and ensure the structural integrity of the heat exchanger.
● Combination of short and long designs—each heat exchanger size is available in three or more height options, facilitating flexible equipment layout for customers.
● Asymmetric flow configuration—by accounting for the temperature and flow‑rate differences between the primary and secondary media, an asymmetric flow path is implemented, ensuring stable flow velocities across the plates and enhancing heat transfer performance.Reasonable plate material and thickness
All models in the AMETEK series utilize stainless steel plates with a thickness of 0.5–0.7 mm. Depending on operating conditions and fluid characteristics, we select metal materials and plate thicknesses that are compatible with the process medium. The maximum safe pressure rating is 30 bar. Excellent mechanical strength helps prevent misalignment of the plates under high pressure, while the inclusion of hard particles in the fluid enhances the plates’ resistance to puncture during friction.Reliable positioning system
Our plates feature an antisymmetric structure: when rotated 180 degrees, they align with their adjacent counterparts. The self‑locking corner‑locking design and the five‑point suspension positioning system simplify disassembly and maintenance, allowing a single operator on site to perform installation, removal, and other maintenance tasks using standard, universally available tools.High-quality bushing
To ensure the integrity of the closed stainless-steel heat exchange channels within the heat exchanger and to prevent contamination of the process fluid by other interface materials, Amatec exclusively employs stainless-steel liners. Compared with conventional rubber liners, these offer a longer service life and enhanced safety.Non-adhesive shim
Ametech exclusively employs a snap‑on mounting pad system, with all rubber pads molded in one piece from imported virgin rubber, ensuring superior product quality and extended service life. This design not only simplifies installation and maintenance but also significantly reduces operating and maintenance costs.Advanced manufacturing processes
Ametech is equipped with a range of advanced hydraulic presses, including 6,000‑ton, 8,000‑ton, 12,000‑ton, and 20,000‑ton models, enabling the use of the most suitable press for each type of plate. This ensures precise forming while maintaining optimal sheet‑metal strength. The pressing process employs a pre‑laminated hydraulic membrane technique, safeguarding the plates from damage during fabrication. Oil‑free pressing further guarantees the cleanliness of the finished products.A robust quality assurance system
Ametech holds dual qualifications for the design and manufacture of pressure vessels (special equipment) and maintains a comprehensive, robust quality assurance system. Its design, production, and inspection processes are rigorously conducted in accordance with applicable pressure vessel standards, ensuring superior product quality.Scientific Selection System
We have introduced AMETECH’s 6B selection software and the 3A database, ensuring the rationality and practicality of our product selection and design processes.
Model Meaning
Plate heat exchanger with unequal cross-section, model:

■ Unequal‑flow plate heat exchangers are suitable for applications where the primary and secondary side flow rates differ significantly. Within the plate heat exchanger product line, the F series is the standard offering, ideal for conditions with large temperature variations; the E/T series comprises enhanced‑performance variants of the F series, best suited to situations with small temperature differentials.
■ The unequal‑section plate heat exchanger features herringbone corrugations in which the cross‑sectional areas of the fluid channels on either side of the heat transfer plates are unequal. Adjacent plates with larger cross‑sections form wide channels, while those with smaller cross‑sections form narrow channels, with a cross‑sectional area ratio of 2:1. Accordingly, the diameters of the plate corner ports are also available in two sizes.Technical Specifications:

Frequently Asked Questions
Precautions for Shutting Down a Plate Heat Exchanger
When shutting down the heat exchanger, first slowly close the hot-side inlet valve, then slowly close the cold-side inlet valve, and finally close both the cold- and hot-side outlet valves. After all valves are closed, stop the pump; if necessary, open the drain valve.
Precautions for Starting a Plate Heat Exchanger
Inspect the clamping bolts and tighten them to the specified torque, ensuring even diagonal tightening. Verify that the inlet and outlet valves and the vent valve are in good condition and that all instruments are functioning properly. During startup, vent the system first, then introduce the cold medium before introducing the high‑temperature medium. Gradually open the inlet and outlet valves while carefully controlling the pressure differential between the two sides.
Precautions for Disassembling Plate Heat Exchangers
Before dismantling the plate heat exchanger, the clamping dimensions shall be measured and recorded. L; Loosen the clamping bolts alternately in a diagonal sequence.
Precautions for Storing Plate Heat Exchangers
Plate heat exchangers should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse, with the ambient temperature not exceeding 45 °C 。
When a plate heat exchanger has been out of service for more than six months, the internal fluid must be completely drained. It is advisable to loosen the clamping bolts in advance to ensure that the gap between the two clamping plates reaches 1.2 times L is recommended; clamp it to L when in use.
Causes of Leakage in Plate Heat Exchangers
1) Gasket aging; 2) System overpressure; 3) Loose clamping bolts causing external leakage; 4) Plate corrosion leading to internal leakage.
